Co-op 15

Co-op Release Description

Matures 1 week after 'Prima' at Urbana, Illinois. Fruit 2 3/4 inches, roundish to slight conic. Color 95% bright medium red as a blush. Skin smooth, tough, thin, but with large white or russeted conspicuous dots. Moderately attractive. Flesh yellowish, firm, moderately fine grained, crisp, juicy. Retains texture when ripe similar to Jonathan. Flavor sub-acid, less acid than 'Jonathan', up to 15.5% sugar. Dessert quality very good. Immune to apple scab and apparently field resistant to apple mildew and fireblight. When cooked makes a good flavored product with attractive yellow color.
