Brad Miller, production manager, patterned the original project after the Eliot Coleman system. Jennifer Case and Lali Hess used much of the produce through “Rustic Gourmet” catering service which they owned and operated.
The 96' long frame was constructed over planted beds. Specialty leaf lettuce grew well in the cold house as did spinach and arugula.

Shade cloth was added to extend production longer into the summer.

Weeds were minimized in heavily composted, pre-tilled, and mulched planting beds.
