Co-op 44Co-op Release DescriptionOrigin Derived from a cross made in 1972 at the University of Illinois, Pomology Research Farm, Urbana. First selected in 1980 by D.F. Dayton at the University of Illinois and tested as PAR26T4. Tree Moderately vigorous, spreading tree, wide crotch angles (80 to 90 degrees), semi-spur. Bloom period Midseason. Productivity Very productive, may overbear. Harvest period September 22 to October 26; fruit hangs well. Fruit size 2-5/8 to 3 inches. Fruit shape Round. Skin Yellow, fine, crisp, firm, attractive. Flesh Yellow, subac:4 spicy, full flavor, juicy, very good quality Storage Retains crispness and quality for up to 7 months in refrigerated storage.
