Co-op 14Co-op Release DescriptionMatures August 15-20 at Urbana, Illinois (2-3 weeks before 'Prima'). Fruit 2 3/4 inches, conic. Color 75% medium blushed red with some faint darker stripes on yellow ground. Skin smooth, glossy, very attractive. Flesh slightly yellow, fine grained, firm and crisp, juicy. Flavor sub-acid to mild, sugar content medium (13-14%). Dessert quality very good. Cut surface has little tendency to oxidative browning. Holds firm texture when ripe, and holds texture and dessert quality 6 weeks in storage. Field immune to apple scab; no powdery mildew and little fireblight observed in the field.
