MYOPOREACEAE

Embelia robusta, Gaertn, India (Deccan): leaves eaten. A common plant on hilly tracts receiving abundant rainfall. Vernacular names - Bombay Presidency: Khandesh district, Pimpalner: Ingali; Nasik district, Igatpuri: Ambat ingali. Ref. GAMMIE, WATT.

Myoporum platycarpum, R. Br. (syn. Disoon platycarpus, F. von Mueller). Pan-Australia: saccharine exudation eaten. This is reportedly laxative and may be produced by an insect rather than by the plant. Ref. IRVINE.
