Carissa difusa, Roxb.; Wall. India (Madras Presidency): as for Carissa carandas. Vernacular names - Tamil: Chothay kalakai. Telugu: Kalive chettu. Ref. SHORTT.

Carissa edulis (Forsk.) Vahl. Kenya (Mbeere division, Embu district): ripened fruit mixed with porridge or gruel and with the white liquor from crushed, cooked maize. Vernacular names - Kikuyu: mu-Kawa. Zulu: Amatungula. English: Natal Plum. Ref. BROKENSHA & RILEY; RILEY & BROKENSHA.

Carissa opaca, Stapf. India (Garhwal Himalayas): fruit eaten raw; also made into preserves, and pickled. Ref. GUPTA.

Carissa spinarum, L. India (Rajasthan, western): ripe fruit eaten. Vernacular name: Karaunda. Ref. GUPTA & KANODIA.

Landolphia petersiana (Klotzsch) Dyer. Tanzania (Ngindoland): fruits eaten when ripe or nearly ripe. The skin is removed from the unripe fruit, but not from the ripe fruit. Vernacular name - Ngindo: Ndoro. Ref. CROSS-UPCOTT.

Saba florida (Benth.) Bullock. Nigeria (Kano State, northern): fruit eaten. Vernacular name - Hausa: Ciwo. Ref. MORTIMORE.
