The Horticulture Club met on August 30th 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ag mall for the club callout. The theme of the callout was backyard barbeque. The executive board was introduced and they each talked about one of their favorite memories from Hort. Club. Free houseplants were given away to everyone in attendance. President, Mark Watson, gave an overview of what the club does throughout the year and explained some upcoming events. Club foragers Gina Anderson and Katie Hardy, provided the club with hamburgers and hot dogs to go along with the callout theme. Everyone participated in an ice breaker to get to know each other a little better. Cornhole and Frisbee was the entertainment for the night. The next meeting of the Horticulture club will be Wednesday September 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the greenhouse. The activity will be plant propagation with Mary Lou Hayden.
