The Purdue Horticulture Society met on April 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Hort.
117. We held the year end elections at the meeting and discussed some year end
business. Old business was discussed. The service project will take place on
Saturday April 28th. We will be installing a landscape design at Good Shepard
Church please meet at the hort. building at 9 a.m. to load plants and carpool
over. The end of the year cookout will take place on Saturday April 21st at
Happy Hollow Park. It will be from 1-6 p.m. we will meet at 12:45 in front of
the Hort. building to carpool over to the park. The club will provide steaks
the club will be responsible for the side dishes. The Grand Alternative event
will be on Friday April 20th from 6-9 p.m. in the potting room. A sign up sheet
was passed around for anyone who can help. Anyone who still owes money for t-shirts
should pay Mark tonight. The shirts are $11 and may be paid by cash or check.
New business was discussed. The club voted to keep dues the same for next year.
A motion was passed to make changes to the club constitution. The club had it’s
year end elections. The new member are as follows: Adam Vogel, President; Amy
Jones, Vice President; Marnie Wright, Secretary; Jacob Smoker, Treasurer; Heather
Powell and Julie Wagner, Forager; Zach Belcher, Hort. Show Chair; Dan Peterson,
Hort. Show Assistant; Katie Hardy, Ag Council Representative; Amy Oliver and
Gina Anderson, Special Projects; Jon Winn and Austin Happel, Publicity; Anne
Secor, Historian; Greg Lohrey, Webmaster. Congratulations to all the new officers!
