Qualified students often find jobs prior to graduation.
Notices of available positions sent to the Department of
Horticulture and Landscape Architecture are posted on the
job placement bulletin boards located in the hallway next to
room HORT 210. These notices include full- and part-time
positions, summer and internship opportunities. Interview
schedules also are posted on the bulletin board. A notebook
is kept in the Student Services Office, room HORT 207A of
all full-time positions. Faculty advisers are often helpful
in "matching" the student to the job. Many students find
full-time employment with organizations that have employed
them during previous summers. Many students following their
internship are offered permanent employment with the same
employer upon graduation. The School of Agriculture
Placement Office located in room AGAD 127 helps graduating
seniors secure jobs by arranging interviews with interested
companies, by keeping up-to-date records of job
opportunities, and by sponsoring an annual career day the
second Tuesday of October. The School of Agriculture
provides job and interview notices to the Department of
Horticulture and Landscape Architecture for posting. See the
interview section on the horticulture and landscape
architecture job placement board located next to room HORT
210. Additional assistance in procuring a job is provided
for graduating seniors by the Purdue Center for Career
Opportunities located in room 194 in Stewart Center. You can
