In collaboration with Controlled Pharming Ventures, LLC., we are working to design an entirely enclosed Pharma Plant production facility in a converted limestone mine facility in Southern Indiana. Research is being conducted at Purdue University to determine light level optimization for growth of Pharma crops, beginning with corn. Studies will use the high bay growth room facilities in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture as well as a custom-designed growth chamber for corn growth. While the Purdue research is occurring, modifications of the mine site for semi-controlled environment Pharma Plant production will be underway.
