Reviews and Other Publications

Over 40 individual loci associated with plant cuticle production have been identified in screens of mutagenized populations of Arabidopsis and Sorghum, and these mutant lines have provided the basis for many important studies that elucidate gene involvement in cuticle lipid metabolism and function in plants. Besides this, my lab has made significant contributions in crop science, applying techniques and tools developed in my laboratory to a diverse set of problems faced by growers of ornamental and food crops. The role of cuticle lipids has been of special interest, as has also been the development of regeneration systems for transformation of crop species.
