My Love for You

Distance between us has pulled at the bond keeping us together
Uncertainty of what lies ahead had only loosed the knot more
Sometimes I have no idea of where to go or what to do
But enduring through it all is my love for you

Dark clouds have entered our blue sky
Those times have been rough, I won't deny
But it always is just rain to wash away all that was untrue
And enduring through it all was my love for you

We have even torn down our structure
Lack of expressing true feelings caused the rupture
A strong foundation let us build anew
Because enduring through it all was my love for you

--The Plant Poet
