Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Training

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires that all persons who work in our plant growth facility or field research areas have Worker Protection Standard (WPS) training. It covers pesticide safety and heat-related illness safety. If you have research, teaching or outreach plants in our greenhouses, growth chambers, coolers, growth rooms, or fields you need to be certified. It will only take about an hour and the certification is good for 5 years.Our goal is 100% compliance. This training is routinely offered by Purdue's Dept. of Radiological and Environmental Management (REM) several times per year.
