Plant Size Group Designations

In the plant groupings lists available in PDF format, you will see a number between the latin binomial and the common name that represents the plant size group. This number is provided as a study option that may help you remember the approximate mature size of each woody landscape plant. The table below explains how the size group number relates to plant height. You will not be required to know these numbers for exams.
