HORT 217

Characteristics Quiz and Exam Periods

Come prepared every Wednesday at 8:30am to HORT 117 to be examined over the area of knowledge concerned with plant characteristics covered during the previous week's lectures, plant walks, and including all other supplementary materials. You should bring two sharp # 2 pencils.

Weekly characteristics quizzes will consist of around 25 multiple choice questions that ask you about characteristics and usage of woody plants in the landscape. Turn in your completed scantron (bubble) sheets at the front of the examination room as you leave.

During three of these Wednesday characteristics quiz periods, you will be given the mid-term exams. These mid-terms are not cumulative but will cover material from the four preceeding plant groups, including the current week's plants, primarily. The midterm exams will have ~50 questions and you will have the full 50 minute lecture period to complete them. The final exam is CUMULATIVE, covering all 12 plant groups, and will use many questions from previous quizzes and mid-terms. See course calendar for quiz, mid-terms, and final exam dates.
