File Storage

Students have access to shared folders (LA_students, Hort_Students) on the hlafileserver. These are open shared folders and you may create and delete folders within.

Warning these are shared folders that others have access to, Do Not expect anything saved here to be sacred. If you require more security consult the IT Dept.

Students start the year with a 400 mb quota on the file server, more can be requested with legitimate reasons. The quota is per user. It is not dependent on where you put the files. If you save a file it goes against your quota. It is up to you to remember where you saved your files.

Access to the HLA file server

Start > Run > \\hlafileserv.hort.purdue.edu
At the authentication pop up box enter >
[ hort_domain\”your career account user name”] for the User name
[Your career account password] for the Password
