Now moving to the yellow se’s. Tuxedo, a homozygous se from Mesa Maize was in the trial as a standard, but turned out to be one of the better ones.
Moderately resistant to many diseases: R (3), SW (3), NLB and SLB (2). Very susceptible to MDM.
Plants over 6’ tall with few tillers, ears 1 to 1.5 ft. above ground. Comments from field: ears long and narrow with short flag leaves, shank hard to remove
