Indiana has over 600 acres of wine grapes in production and new vineyards are being established each year. The state has 54 wineries that produce over 1 million gallons of wine each year. The Purdue Wine Grape Team supports the grape and wine industry through research, education, and market development. The Indiana Wine Grape Council provides funding and oversight for the program.
