Tomato - Fruit

Tomatoes are grown for their edible fruit. The fruit is usually red to red-orange, but it can also be pink, yellow, green, white, or striped. They vary in size from about one inch to the size of a softball. Most tomato fruits are round with an indentation at the top where the stem attached.

Tomato fruit shape varies from round, to oblong, pointed, and pear shaped. They all have smooth, shiny skin and are easily bruised.
