Pumpkin - Fruit

Pumpkin fruits are usually shaped like a flattened globe, though they also come in other shapes such as oblong or pear. They are yellow-orange to orange in color, and sometimes white. The skin is somewhat smooth and sometimes has vertical lines down the side of the fruit. Pumpkin fruits can vary greatly in size from less than five pounds to more than one hundred pounds.
