Pea- Pod

Peas grow in a long and slightly curved green pod. Shelling peas are removed from the pod to be eaten.

Snow peas have an edible, flat, thin seed pod that is curved on one side. They are are harvested when the seeds are still immature and are often used in Asian cooking.

Snap peas also have edible pods and are harvested when the seeds are large but still immature and the pods are tender.
